Using an Advantage Plan you may be paying less for Prescription drugs.

Posted November 5, 2023

Changes to Medicare Advantage Plan Choice PPO mean lower prescription drug pricing. Note: This change has no impact on your Medicare Advantage Part D (MA-D) prescription drug plan, but it may help with your overall prescription drug pricing. Changes to the PPO network Medicare Part B Prescription Drug Drug coverage include:

  • Currently paying 20% coinsurance for Medicare-covered Part B drugs. Starting April 1st, 2023, you may pay less for certain rebatable drugs. This formulary list and the cost of each rebatable drug change every quarter.
  • You currently pay 20% coinsurance for Medicare-covered chemotherapy drugs and the administration of those drugs. Starting April 1st, 2023, you may pay less for certain rebatable drugs. This list and the cost of each rebatable drug change every quarter.

Starting July 1, 2023, beneficiaries will pay a maximum of $35 for each 1-month supply of Part B-covered insulin.
