Posted October 6, 2023Pharmaceutical corporations agree to discussions about medicine prices.
This week, the administration announced that the manufacturers of ten pricey drugs, including Jardiance, Januvia, Xarelto, and Eliquis, had agreed to negotiate reduced costs on the drugs for people who are enrolled in Medicare. The new pricing will take effect at the start of 2026, according to the White House. Though several of the corporations are suing the government on the grounds that the law authorizing the conversations is unconstitutional, some pharmaceutical manufacturers have stated they will hold negotiations with the federal government.
