Medicare (CMS) 2023 Prohibits the Marketing of Generalized Savings

As of 9/30/2023, when marketing Medicare-related products, generalized savings are forbidden. This applies to savings based on average out-of-pocket costs for uninsured people, unpaid expenses for beneficiaries who are also dual eligible, and other unrealized costs. Medicare promoters are not allowed to generalize savings when those savings are person-specific.
