MEDICARE ANSWERS

How can I find out if my Medicare Part A or B claims were approved?

You can find out if your Medicare Part A or B claims have been approved by checking your Medicare Summary Notice (MSN) or by creating an online account on the Medicare website. https://www.medicare.gov/

Medicare Summary Notice (MSN): The MSN is a document that lists all the services and supplies billed to Medicare on your behalf. It explains what Medicare has paid, what you may owe, and why. You should receive a Medicare Summary Notice every three months if you have had Medicare-covered services during that period.

If you have not received an MSN, you can call Medicare at 1-800-MEDICARE (1-800-633-4227) to request one.

Medicare website: You can create an online account on the Medicare website and view your claim status and other information related to your Medicare coverage. To create an account, go to https://www.mymedicare.gov and follow the instructions.
