  • Medicare Part A Coverage: Covers inpatient hospital stays, skilled nursing facility care, hospice care, and some home health care services.
  • Medicare Part B coverage: Covers doctor's visits, outpatient care, and some preventive services.
  • Medicare Part C (Medicare Advantage) : Provides an alternative to traditional Medicare coverage by offering a range of private insurance plans that provide all of the benefits of Parts A and B, as well as additional benefits such as prescription drug coverage and ancillary benefits.
  • Part D Prescription Drug Coverage: Provides required prescription drug coverage to Medicare beneficiaries.

Medicare is funded by a combination of payroll taxes, premiums paid by beneficiaries, and funding from the federal government.

The program is designed to provide affordable healthcare coverage to individuals who would otherwise have difficulty obtaining or affording health insurance on their own, and it plays a critical role in ensuring access to healthcare for millions of Americans.
